Hi good and pleasant readers😊. I received another email today from a colleague letting me know that my Waterloo watch design, which I created to raise funds for veterans and their families of the UK, has been published in City AM – a large readership business publication for London UK. City AM has a readership of up to 2 million readers per month, so you could say I was best pleased to receive and hear this great news!

The watch raffle has already raised a substantial amount of money but there are still tickets available for people who would like to purchase one. All the funds raised go to helping veterans and their families of all the UK armed forces in their times of need. The 2024 Waterloo watch is being hand-made and there will only be one watch made – so a very limited-edition of just one!

The watch is being made in association with the ‘Lord Mayors Big Curry Lunch’, a charitable event held every year in the grand City of London to help raise funds for veterans and their families of all our UK armed forces. The event has been running since 2007 and has raised nearly £3 million so far for this worthy cause. The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch is a prestigious event that brings together people from various sectors to support and honor the courageous men and women who have served in the UK armed forces. The partnership between the watch and this significant charitable initiative serves as a symbol of solidarity and gratitude towards our veterans and their families. By combining craftsmanship with a noble cause, this collaboration seeks to raise awareness and essential funds, continuing to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who have dedicated themselves to serving us and our country.

Beyond all the political yammering, and events that the public rarely seem to get much say in, well meaning veterans and their families get damaged, so this is my small way of helping. Hopefully it makes some difference! Thank you Laura I am, I try to always be humble but there is a bit of pride there I must admit😊. Hope you are keeping all well….Jay

        1. Thank you Laura😊. The plan is to design one each year, and raffle that individual design every year, alongside and in support of the Charity to raise funds. So yes will do…I will keep on keeping on✊. Pleased you are well😊.

I am happy to share the watch raffle has now been drawn so some lucky winner will receive this watch, and it has raised a good chunk of money to support Veterans back into productive work.
