Fish-Dial Watch 3D Blender Model – In Rose Gold with Lifestyle Shots😊

Hi good readers! As promised in my last post regarding my Fish-design watch, with a metal bracelet model, this is a rose-gold version with some lifestyle shots. Essentially, this is the same watch mesh-model that I modelled with polygon mesh in Blender 4.0. This time, however, I have applied a rose-gold, slightly brushed, material. This is a procedural material, the same as the yellow gold variant, rather than a PBR material.

The Rose Gold Version of the Fish Dial Watch:

I have also altered the colors on the dial to complement the rose gold case and strap. The fish-scale pattern is coloured with a slightly translucent light-purple brushed steel material. Overall, I think the finished product is nice. Personally, I am not sure if I prefer the rose gold or yellow gold, but of course, this is always down to personal preference. Maybe you have a preference? Let me know👍.

I have attempted to tone the lifestyle shots accordingly with pinks, green, and reds, and I think it works well. The colours did ‘blow out’ a bit and became a bit overcoloured with pink, so I have done a fair bit of post-editing in Adobe Photoshop and toned down that colour, to bring them out as more ‘true’ and realistic. Keep in mind the entirety of these images are mesh models that I have modeled and composed in Blender, so none of it is actually real. Making the models, applying materials, rendering out, and compositing is all part of the Art.

The intricacies of creating and adjusting color schemes in lifestyle shots can be fascinating. It’s a delicate balance to ensure that the colors seamlessly enhance the visual appeal without overshadowing the essence of the composition. This task can be both challenging and rewarding, as finding the equilibrium of colors can be an art in itself. Each hue and tone plays a crucial role in conveying the intended mood and ambience, adding depth and dimension to the overall visual narrative. It’s a process that demands attention for sure!

Anyway, I hope you like and enjoy the results. As always, please feel free to comment, I always appreciate them and will always reply👍.

Have a great day everyone😊

Kind regards, Jay

  1. WOW!! Absolutely stunning work! I’ve used Blender to create some cookie cutters for 3D printing, nowhere near this level of detail and rendering, but can appreciate the learning, time and effort that has gone into creating these images.
