I wanted to present the recent Fish-design watch dial I had modeled using Blender in a slightly different way by adding a steel type watch bracelet, so I have done just that by modeling, and adding, a bracelet to the watch case. Of course, I think it is always prudent to try varying color and finish options while doing this, as of course, you are putting in the work anyway by modeling, lighting, rendering, and finally post-production – so why not try some other options?
This is all modeled and rendered, as is the case with all of my models, using Blender 4.0 creative suite. Here is a version presented with a yellow gold finish. I am also going to try a rose-gold finish version, with maybe some slight variation of color on the dial:

I think adding a bracelet rather than a leather watch strap, as is my personal preference, changes the look of the watch quite dramatically. Of course I understand people have personal preferences typically when it comes to watches, they either go for leather or steel bracelet. The choice of strap can really alter the overall style and feel of a timepiece, reflecting the individual’s personality and taste. Personally, I find that a bracelet can impart a more sleek and modern aesthetic, while a leather strap exudes a classic and timeless vibe. Ultimately, it’s fascinating how such a small detail can make a significant impact on the overall appearance of a watch, catering to a wide range of preferences and styles.
When I talk about the creation process, I am referring to the fact that I personally used Blender to model this project. I made sure to add procedural materials to it, as opposed to PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials. The use of procedural materials provides a unique advantage, allowing for more flexibility and creativity in the design process. Unlike PBR materials, which are based on real-world material properties, procedural materials are generated algorithmically, providing endless possibilities for customization and experimentation. This choice reflects my commitment to meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail, as it enables me to finely tune every aspect of the materials to achieve the desired aesthetic and visual impact. By embracing procedural materials, I aim to push the boundaries of design and unleash a new level of artistic expression in my work.
Let me know you thoughts, I always appreciate them😊. I think my next post will be displaying the rose-gold version, and for that I might create some ‘lifestyle’ shots.
That is it for today, a short and sweet post, as creating these images has taken me some time, so will let the images speak for themselves.
have a great day everyone😊👍.
Kind regards, Jay
