What is my favourite candy (Or ‘sweets’ as we tend to say in the UK), asks the WordPress daily prompt? Well this got me thinking, also remembering, as my favourite sweet now is 85% dark chocolate … especially with a nice coffee!
BUT WAIT… this question sent me down memory lane, back to the 70’s and early 80’s when I was a young child…
I used to walk with my Mum to a small local shopping centre called ‘The Forum’. At that Forum there was a Chemist (I forget what the Chemist was called), and at that Chemist they sold two things that I just loved: ‘Liquorice root sticks’, and ‘Horlicks Sweets’….I just loved Horlicks sweets 😊. That malty-milky flavour was just great!
Well it turns out, and I didn’t know this until this WordPress prompt asked the question, that Horlicks have brought the Horlicks sweets back! You see they discontinued them in the 1990’s I believe. But now they are back…who would have thunk it!

Yes you should try them Sushmita, if you can find them. Still, I haven’t tried one since I was a very small boy, so that is assuming they are as tasty as they used to make them! Have a great day. Kind regards…Jay 😊
