Have Confidence in the Creative You – Divine Things Can Take Place✌️😊

Who is the most confident person I know‘ the daily prompt has asked me 🤔, what a tasking question to answer! Well I always want to keep my blog on point, which is primarily for creative work, imagery, design, and 3D modelling…but I do want to address these questions if I can…?

Daily writing prompt
Who is the most confident person you know?

So let us start with a picture:

I don’t want to write too much on this post, probably because I am not an avid writer, I like to draw! but this does spark a creative question; no doubt we all experience that ‘Imposter-syndrome’ now and again? That feeling like you are just not up to the task, or you will get found out ‘anytime soon’ that you don’t have the answers that ‘you think‘ people…think you have? isn’t that all of us sometimes? which is a total folly when you think about it, if we are all feeling it🤨?

Well I get it occasionally, I would guess when I am tasked with something with relatively demanding specifications. What I have learnt to do is just trust and have faith in the higher-self, the divine creative, what ever you would like to call it. Maybe others here do to? And of course, with added ‘acquired knowledge’ alongside, things usually work out better than I initially expect.

So for this post I am using my latest design task. I was asked to design a watch dial (I wont give full details, although there is no NDA required or signed). This dial is for a very important and old organisation, and it is to have a fish/water theme. This task has taken me sometime – several days of thought, sketching, modeling, changing things etc. Finally it all starts to come together:

I will probably talk about the modelling set-up for this dial in another post, as it was quite tasking, relying on a lot of manual .SVG drawing, and instancing-on-vertices. But for now I will keep it relative to the prompted question.

So what I want to say is I just trust and have confidence in the divine creative me, be that my higher self, God, or one of the same. I set out on the task and trust it will work out.

Art, in this example, is of course very subjective, I hope people will like it, but ultimately this will be down to their perspective individually. So I just create what I create, let the creative spirit take over, and trust in the outcome! Some people will like it, some will not… but in the end it is created and – ‘there it Is‘.

To finish off this post I want to post one of my favourite excerpts from one of my favourite poems that says how I feel about this much better than I!

‘Ode on a Grecian Urn’ by ‘John Keats’

That is it for this post, short and hopefully sweet😊. I trust you will appreciate it, and my images, but if you don’t… that is all okay too 👌.

Have a great day and evening everyone, feel free to comment if you would like…I always appreciate it.

Thanks for reading and kind regards, Jay

  1. Confidence in creativity often involves trusting in your own abilities and allowing the creative process to unfold. Your approach of trusting in the “divine creative” within you resonates with many artists and creators. Keep embracing your creativity and trusting in your process!
