As I have mentioned before, I am an totally enthralled, almost obsessed, with creating Art and things using Blender. For any of you that don’t know, Blender is a platform where you can draw, build, sculpt and design 3D artwork, you can also animate and create visual effects, and it is used in the art, animation and film industry.
I design watches for a kind of living, but my main love is to draw and produce still life scenes like this one below, I just love to try and make something that looks real:
My Sunny Still-Life scene:

I wanted to create a slightly sunny Mediterranean feel type of scene, with some Olives and Feta cheese taking the centre stage. Now, I am not totally happy with it yet and it is not completely finished, I am not happy with the colour on the Olives, or the Feta cheese, so that is what I am working on today, and I might add some tomatoes or some Salmon, any preference you think?
Here is a blocked out image below:
The Block Out Image:

I have been working on this most of the week, when I have had time, and was up until 2am last night working on it, so I spend most of my leisure time doing this. I just love to create this kind of stuff, there aren’t enough hours in the day to create what I want to create!
I am thinking about designing and creating a Cathedral soon, now that will be a task! 🙂
The organic things like the Banana are the trickiest things to create maybe in this scene, oh, and the Olive Oil bottle wasn’t as easy as I first expected, but I get there…it is maybe my perfectionist attitude that causes me to take some time.
So this is what I love to do with my leisure time, I have so many ideas to create, I just love to create scene’s that capture a moment. I just wish I had more time to create the things I want to create, but I will keep on keeping on and just try and bring as much new stuff to the world as I can, and of course keep learning…never stop learning!
Have a great day people 🙂
Kind regards,
Jay

Here’s a thought. How could you infuse best AI with your 3D creations?

Hi usfman. I don’t use AI to be honest, so couldn’t really comment on that. The only brush with AI I ever come across in my working, is using a ‘depth-of-focus’ or ‘blur tool’ in photoshop, if I forget to add depth of focus to my camera when rendering an image, this uses some AI in finding an objects edge. This is a really useful tool in Photoshop by the way, if you ever do photo post-editing. Other than that I have never used it. Kind regards, Jay 🙂

I am new to AL and just want some guidance how to best use it/

I understand. It is quite new for a lot of people I think. I don’t really use it, apart from little AI that is embedded into certain programs, but it is all around us in that sense. So I can’t give much advice to be honest. I see lots of AI being used and it is not very good to be truthful, and easy to spot. What I would say is create your content honestly, and from the heart, and it will be appreciated more. AI seems to read ‘soul-less’, and the art is mostly quite poor, and often deformed. But that is just my limited experience! Best…Jay😊

I agree with this original thinking strategy but it’s very convenient to paraphrase, cut and paste and do other convenient reading and writing modifications by use of AI.It saves time.

Hi usfman. Yes I guess you are right, it all depends on what you are using it for I suppose. If you use it as a tool to assist then I guess it can be very useful. I don’t have an awful lot of experience with AI to be truthful, and it is still in infancy/beta stage….so I guess it is all a learning curve for us! and we will see how it progresses. Best…Jay
